I’ve created another set of nails for Supanova Brisbane. These ones are a set of nails based on the Nightmare Before Christmas. A clear blue background with a couple of different glitter topcoats to make a night sky, a moon, the black swirl, and on some of them, and on some of them a stick figure standing on the swirl. (which is supposed to represent jack, but I think on a bunch it just looks like a boring stick figure…)
Here is a detailed shot of two nails:
Here is a picture of the full set of 20:
This set will be on sale for $25 AUD.
This is the first set I’ve created specifically to sell at supanova, its based on Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, 12 nails represent her face, four show her smiling and four show her with a sad face. Here they are:
I’m working on another set of nightmare before christmas nails too, they’re sitting on the table in front of me as I type. 🙂
It looks like I’m going to be quite busy! A friend of mine who runs Spork Puppy Designs has purchased a table for this years supanova, and has graciously given me some space on this table to sell nail art! The nail art takes me a long time to do, given that I have a full time job, part time studies and a pretty active social life, but I’m going to make it a goal to have as many sets of nails completed for supanova as I am able to. At home I have most of a set of nails completed which are inspired by Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Other potential designs include:
– Another The Nightmare Before Christmas set
– Emoticons (Pikachu faces?)
– Triforce designs.
– Star Trek
– More pokemon?
– Japanese style deco 3d Fruits nails
– Studio Ghibli inspired set/s?
-Watchmen themed set
– Elements (Earth, Fire, Wind, Water)
– Astrological Glyphs
– Robot Unicorn Attack
I’m unlikely to be able to complete all these ideas by the date, but its going to be fun to try.
I decided to do a set of nails based on the Rose Jail lolita print by Alice and the Pirates in cream. I own that dress and its one of my favorites, its gorgeous. The dress design has flowers, thorns, jail bars, roses, skulls and locks. Here are some pictures of the print:
Aaaaaaand, here is the set of nails I created to match this dress.
Hi there, I decided I’d like to have a nail art blog. I have been doing nail art in my spare time. I’m an amateur with no formal training. I’d love to do a nail tech course, but currently I am working full time and studying part time for the IT industry. I’m mostly interested in doing freehand designs, particularly designs based on the Japanese lolita brand dresses. I have an interest in the japanese style 3d deco nails, and one day would love to learn how to use the 3d acrylics.
To start things off, here is a picture of nails I made to wear with a lolita dress called Paris Windows
